Fine American Arts & Crafts Table Lamp - Circa 1910 - Iron-Copper-Stained Glass. Attributed to Bradley & Hubbard. Very fine Arts and Crafts lamp, circa 1910, and possibly made by the Bradley & Hubbard workshops of Meridian, Connecticut. The base of the lamp is heavy and made of iron with a very dark matte surface patina. It has four strap uprights with rivets near the top, with the lower ends bent in a sort of Greek Key design.

There are two original signed Hubbell bulb sockets, one with its original'acorn' pull chain (and the other missing the acorn and lower part of the chain - see photos). The pyramid shaped shade is made of patinated wrought copper with riveted strap-work edges and cutouts that are edged with thick square wire. The cut-outs have four pieces of carmel stained glass panels (somewhat yellow - brown when the lamp is on). The shade has a biut-in finial that is threaded for attachment to the top of the lamp (see photos).

The lamp is possibly attributable to Bradley and Hubbard by the materials, Hubbell sockets and acorn pulls, and the general style. You can see that lamp by seaching Google Images for "Bradley & Hubbard Prairie School Square Lamp". SHADE WIDTH : 12.5 " x 12.5".

WEIGHT : 12 lbs 4 oz. Lamp looks to have been re-wired and works well. Sockets turn on and off smoothly. Loss to the lower section of one pull chain. The glass in good condition with no cracks or chips.

The glass may or may not be original but it appears as though some of the copper tabs on the inside of the shade, are lost or missing, and so the glass has been spot-glued to the shade. The attachment appears to be very sturdy and the glass is not loose. The shade looks original from the outside and the original dark greenish patina to the copper is quite beautiful and in good condition. The dark patina to the iron base is slightly mottled and the Hubbell sockets have their original patina in good condition.
