Unusual Handel / Unique Periwinkle Arts & Crafts Leaded Stained Glass Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a very nice and unusual example of a Handel / Unique table lamp. The periwinkle floral design is fairly common, but the glass choice in this one is clearly not. If you are a fan of these and want an unusual example (apart from the more standard green or caramel background ones), this may be the one for you.
I was drawn to it because of the unusual color and its actually kind of hard to describe, so I will let my pictures do most of the talking here. I guess its kind of like a purple/pink color with some gold built in. Very unusual and very striking to look at.
It is a full sized table lamp with a 16" diameter shade that stands 21" tall. The shade is old and original and not one of those newer signed "HANDEL" copies that seem to be. For your reference, the unsigned ones are much more likely to be period and. The base is also unusual for Handel as it is a bronze one and not pot metal. It is prominently signed on the underside, HANDEL 5184. Has been recently wired with period style cloth.Cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a nice and unusual example of a Handel/Unique lamp that is much less common than most out there.
If you have ever wanted a nice example, this might be the one for you. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea.If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that's fine. For anyone of you out there that buys or sells these, you know that if done correctly this amount won't actually cover it.
