Stained Glass Barber Shop Globe Lamp Sign Vintage Antique Style

Hand made with red, white, blue, green stained glass. Size approximately 11 inches by 11 inches.
My Barber Shop Globes are made with a 4 inch fitter ring which fits most antique barber poles. I can hand make a 6 inch fitter from brass flat stock. Please measure your pole before purchasing. The build process involves bending every piece of stained glass on a mold in a kiln at 1275f to give it a curved shape. I then solder all 171 pieces together.Process takes about two - three weeks to build working non stop. Final size is roughly 11 inches diameter or about the size of a basketball. This is my original design and not a reproduction.
Ive been flooded with questions so I will attempt to answer them here. Due to my mold for slumping glass, I only make an 11 inch globe.
Not a 10 inch, nor a 12 inch which were the original globe sizes. I only have a 4 fitter ring. They have not been manufactured since the 80s so I had them special made. If you need a 6" fitter, I can fabricate a simple ring from 1/2" flat brass bar. I will consider customizing lettering upon request.I wish to be known for my own original work and not as a repro artist. Glass manufacturers still use the same exact recipe and colors for making glass as from their beginning, like the 1800s, which makes this art even more awesome. It took me two years to figure out how to build this globe; therefore, I take much pride in my little creation. This is simply my hobby.
