Arts Crafts Leaded Vintage Slag Glass Antique Lamp Bradley Hubbard Handel Era

  

Fantastic arts and crafts craftsman period Bradley and Hubbard gas lamp base with a leaded slag glass shade measuring 18" width and 24" height. This is a very heavy base that gives adequate support for the stained-glass shade. This dates to the early 1900's or late 1800's arts and crafts period. No damage to the shade or base and the base has been rewired and fitted with a double socket pull switch and works well.

The shade is not original to the base, but it is a period lamp shade not a current reproduction and is very similar to Chicago Mosaic or Wilkinson style. The shade is an extremely well-made shade and more difficult than most because it also has a bent panel construction in addition to the leaded stained-glass pieces.

Most lamps of this period had the bases made separately by one company and the glass shade made by another company. The green enamel finish on the base is all original and in very good condition. This is a very large oversized lamp with a 9-inch wide base and higher than is normal at 24 high. Our packing is almost always two separate boxes with the shade and the base separate and we use all new boxes, packing peanuts and bubble wrap.
